The Summit mission is two-fold.  First the Summit will provide an exceptional experience involving an exchange of ideas between community leaders, local governmental officials, and community residents, to address the prevention of dysfunctional lifestyles and encounters with law enforcement. 

 

Secondly, the Summit will provide community youth, with the opportunity to meet and engage business owners, professional athletes, engineers, and scholars who may influence their future career paths.  The summit student objectives are summarized in the image above.  Students will be shown how their abilities can be used to become future leaders, athletes, business owners and scientist.  The intent of this event is to motivate students to achieve a higher education while, helping the students develop a positive attitude.

This approach while proven in other cities, will provide strategies including family, school and community interventions used to reduce the spiraling rate of juvenile delinquency in our communities.  Follow on session focused on specific career path or sports will be conducted to further educate the youth based on their personal interest.
